Whole30 Copycat PF Chang's Lettuce Wraps



A delicious Whole30-compliant version of PF Chang's famous lettuce wraps. These wraps are filled with savory ground chicken and a flavorful sauce, all wrapped up in crisp iceberg lettuce leaves.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat

Add chopped onion and minced garlic, saut until fragrant and translucent

Add ground chicken to the skillet and cook until it's no longer pink, breaking it into small crumbles as it cooks

Stir in red bell pepper and water chestnuts, cooking for a few more minutes

In a small bowl, combine coconut aminos, fish sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes

Pour the sauce over the chicken mixture and stir to coat evenly

Cook for another 2-3 minutes

To serve, spoon the chicken mixture into individual iceberg lettuce leaves, creating lettuce wraps

Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro
