Ingredients:
- 2 cans of crescent roll dough
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius and spray cooking spray in a donut pan
Crack open the crescent roll dough cans and unfold the dough to form discrete triangles
Put the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl
Blend until a creamy, smooth consistency is achieved
Place a heaping tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the broad end of every triangle formed by the crescent rolls
Top the cream cheese mixture with a few fresh berries
Starting from the wide end of each crescent roll, roll each one up to form a donut
Seal the edges well to prevent the filling from oozing out while baking
Put the filled crescent roll donuts in the donut pan that has been oiled
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the donuts are puffed and golden brown, in a preheated oven
The donuts should be taken out of the oven and given a few minutes to cool in the pan before being transferred to a wire rack to finish cooling
After the donuts cool, sprinkle them with powdered sugar
Your Southern Crescent Roll Danish Donuts are ready to be served
Enjoy!
