With its ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil, this Tomato Mozzarella Sandwich is a classic mix of flavors. A drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette brings it all together.
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese
- 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a small bowl
Put some of the mixture on one side of each piece of bread
On one piece of bread, put slices of mozzarella cheese
On top of the mozzarella, put slices of tomato
Add fresh basil leaves on top
Place the other piece of bread on top, olive oil side down
Set a pan on medium heat
In a pan, cook the sandwich for about two to three minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts
Take it off the heat, cut it up if you want, and serve it hot
