Ingredients:
- 3 cans 15 oz each of navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup diced pineapple
- 1 cup diced bell pepper any color
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F
Drained navy beans, diced pineapple, diced bell pepper, and diced onion should all be combined in a big mixing bowl
Ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper, if using, should all be combined in a different bowl
After adding the sauce to the bean mixture, stir it gently until everything is well mixed
Spread the bean mixture evenly in a baking dish after transferring it there
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the flavors have combined and the beans are heated through
Before serving, take it out of the oven and give it some time to rest
Before serving, add some freshly chopped cilantro as a garnish
